Huawei Aito M7 to be facelifted in China
The Aito M7 large EREV crossover from Huawei and Seres will get a facelift in China. Its refreshed variant will align with the flagship Aito M9 SUV in terms of exterior styling. This update aims to recover the Aito M7’s sales volume after the 72.9% decline in January-April 2025.
This SUV turned into a volume SUV by selling 193,342 units in 2024. However, the M7’s sales declined by 72.9% in January-April 2025 year-over-year. Now, Aito is getting ready to launch the refreshed M7 crossover in China. Its main feature is a new front end.

The refreshed Aito M7 was spotted during road tests in China. It was partly covered with camouflage. However, its front end could be seen in the photos. The updated model got sharp headlights similar to the Aito M9 flagship SUV. The new car also has retractable door handles, 10-spoke rims, and a minimalistic front bumper.
The greenhouse (structure between A and C pillars) of the refreshed Aito M7 remained the same. It hints that this vehicle’s dimensions are also the same at 5020/1945/1760 mm with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. The new Aito M7 adopts a LiDAR sensor on the roof.
The interior of the refreshed Aito M7 was also seemingly adjusted. Its gear shifter moved to the steering column. The center tunnel of this model has two wireless charging pads and a pair of cup holders. Other highlights of this SUV are speakers in the front pillars, a two-spoke steering wheel, a sizeable touchscreen, and a thin LCD instrument panel.
The updated Aito M7 has the potential to once again become successful in China as it adopts the brand’s latest design language. There is a possibility that Huawei and Seres will also upgrade the M7’s powertrain. Previously, Aito launched the M8 EREV SUV with a 1.5-liter turbocharged generator for 118 kW (158 hp). It also offers 4WD for 392 kW (526 hp). The M7 can align with the M8.
