Why has the export of used cars become a new highlight of foreign trade
With the establishment of "one-stop" service centers in many parts of the country, the export of used cars has accelerated, becoming a new highlight of my country's foreign trade growth this year.
1. High concentration of export destinations
At present, my country's used car export target markets are mainly "Belt and Road" countries such as Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Kazakhstan are the top five countries in my country's used car exports. The export volume of the top 10 export destination countries and regions accounts for about 90% of my country's total used car exports, and the concentration is very high. On the one hand, it shows that Chinese companies have adopted a focus strategy of focusing on cultivating some markets in their overseas market development, and on the other hand, it also reflects that the competition among export companies in these markets is becoming increasingly fierce. China's current used car exports account for only 3% of new car exports, and there is still a lot of room for improvement compared with Japan, the United States, and South Korea.
2. Rationally respond to many challenges
Although the overall situation of used car exports is improving, domestic companies should be aware that used car exports still face many problems and challenges, such as the complex and changeable international environment, increasingly fierce domestic competition, overseas standard docking, brand building, and after-sales service.
First, the international environment is complex and changeable, and export companies must have the ability to cope with complex international situations. Secondly, the trend of involution of export companies' competition has gradually emerged, such as product homogeneity, opaque vehicle conditions, and odometer adjustment. The industry should continue to strengthen self-discipline and operate in good faith. Third, in terms of systematization, domestic infrastructure construction is relatively complete, but supporting systems such as overseas service outlets are still to be built.
3.Group "going overseas" to reject disorderly competition
Used car export companies should pay attention to the following key points:
First, we must seize opportunities and actively explore the international market. Make full use of national policy dividends, deeply understand the laws and regulations, consumption habits and demand characteristics of the target market, accurately position, and accurately implement policies.
Second, we must strengthen cooperation, avoid vicious competition, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. Different companies should give full play to their strengths, use their own advantages and resources, and face more intense competition overseas together.
Third, we should focus on innovation and enhance core competitiveness. Companies should continue to innovate in product selection, value-added services, marketing strategies, etc., to enhance the added value and market competitiveness of used car export products.
The African market needs to be further explored
The African market is basically mature in several aspects. The first is the source of cars. With the increasing volume of domestic used car transactions year by year, the source of cars is already very sufficient. The second is that state relations must remain stable. China and African countries have maintained a good cooperative and mutually beneficial relationship for a long time. The third is demand. African consumers have some personalized needs for used cars. The fourth is the number of cars in use. Africa has a population of nearly 1.4 billion, but the number of cars per thousand people is only 23, which just provides a good opportunity for my country to export used cars.
